Unless the dekarta religion knife counts as a skinning knife even though it can't skin anything.
Pretty poor that they had forgotten to put the stone skinning knife into the feats.
We are supposed to start off with stone then move to iron, steel, etc.
So why gate skinning knife to start at iron/steel?
Haven't they ever heard of flint knives? We can make stone knives to fight with but not to skin with.
Used to be that normal daggers worked for skinning, but not anymore.
They could make it require higher level and spend knowledge point, unlike the hatchet you can make from the very beginning. But the problem is that during Chapter III of the Exile's Journey, there's a step that requires you to "Use a skinning dagger to skin an animal". However, the step to "Craft an iron tool" is in Chapter IV. Also, they could make it clear in the descrpition that skinning knife harvests only skins, and butcher's cleaver harvests only meat, while hatchet harvests both, but worse than specialized tools.
Stone skinning knives were one of the first tools ever created after the club.
Same here. I'm wondering how to repair mine and can't find it anywhere in the crafting menus. That's a shame.
