Coal in the jungle biome?

I've been exploring for probably 3 hours now, and actively looking for coal for about 45 minutes and can't find any. Does anyone have some locations or something?

You found any iron nodes? I have not found either in the Jungle. Unless there is a new NPC that drops both...Its a pain over there.

I've found a ♥♥♥♥ load of iron around dagons descent, no coal anywhere

I'm kinda happy they didn't make it possible to live near any biome so that you have to use your feet regardless of where you decide to live, but there are places that offer more than 80% of the game's resources and animals which i will keep to myself.

I will give some hints though, one of them is near the oasis.
