Well of Skelos new Dungeon Question (Spoilers)

So, I've been exploring the volcano, and I happened upon the well of skelos. This place is gorgeous, but it left me with a lot of questions. Like, what can I do here? And how do I kill the figure in the pink forcefield pillar of light in the center? I didn't see anything that could turn off the forcefield, and arrows can't reach him.

Does anyone know how to kill him? And is there anything unique I can learn here? I didn't see any recipe walls yet.

Any info would be appreciated. I know some people here might have tested the test patch and explored.

just keep killing his pink ghosts, after killing all of them the forcefield disappears and he just falls over, loot him, chests + recipes for obsidian stuff behind him^^ you can craft most of the stuff at the volcanic forge at the beginning of the dungeon, pickaxe hatchet + i dunno at blacksmith bench

So I found some sort of jewel on his body, but I never found a recipe podium/obelisk/slab there.

when you stand before his throne, on the right side behind him is the recipe wall. easy to miss, there are also 4 chests
