Uh. This game doesn't work like that. But it does follow a certain principal: southern areas are "easier" than more northern areas.
If you are lower than 30 you should stick around the area just north of the big southern river. I recommend hitting the first dungeon (The Dregs) at around level 20 to level 25. Bring a few shields, a bow and some arrows and maybe a couple two handed iron swords with you and you'll be fine. Oh and some food, lots of food.
At level 30 to say 45 you should stick around the middle of the map. Once you hit the level cap at level 60, you can go fully north.
Of course, since this game has combo/live combat and not automatic attacks that proc every once in a while, your skill in fighting as a player really determines where you can go.
A player of sufficient skill can go anywhere as long as they have say, a wooden shield and a stone mace or sword. Once you unlock a stone or iron pike that's another power spike too that will get you places.
Just don't hang around on the south side of the river for too long once you make your toon. People complain how there aren't any resources in this game...and then come to find out they are still basically at spawn. This map is huge. Just getting to the river is like just logging in to the local tavern in an MMO. It's the very first thing, of course nothing of real interest there! The good stuff is all in the middle of the map and the best stuff is way up north.
Good luck and have fun.
Yeah, I can one-hit the spiders, but it’s more of a tightness in my sphincter just looking at them that I don’t like, let alone having them run toward me. Friggin HATE spiders.... Anyway, I went north. Pretty close to the snowy areas. Looted a few villages and stuff. Didn’t see anything I couldn’t handle so far. I’ll have to head up there more. Still trying to find a nice place to build base #2.
