The Nameless City - Purpose?
I am still confused about the nameless city. What is its purpose in the game? The loot there is not great, there are no unique ressources there (at least none that I know of ) , the only thing you can get there -that I know of- is the map room and I am not really interested in getting that. So, what is it good for? At the moment it just seems (to me at least) a big waste of space.

Map room, loot, the storyline.... it takes a bit to much space in my opinion, yes. But it is important for the game.

I only found a few rather ... lacklustre chests. Is there some well-hidden decent stuff somewhere? They could have easily done with a quarter of the space they are using for what little I found there. :)

No special loot there...just common black boxes with crap. Maybe after release. I dont know. And yes, they could have done this with a cave or whatever..... But I think it was planned something different there but they didnt finish it. This why the city is so extremly big. It is 5x bigger than Set City. Or even more. Waste of space, yeah.

Talk to the Warmaker ... He has information for you.

i spoke to the warmaker, he repeats himself after awhile of dialog... snake in the room killed me didnt find any chests after killing boss dragon lol.. was a big place but being as its ment to be a "City" not just some village i guess it should be big right. after all alot of it is burried in sand dunes now but once at least in its history people would of lived there so hense the size, that and the size of the warmaker you would expect some big places like that..

The map room ghost dude tells you how to free yourself from your bracelet which then I assume when the game is released you can actually leave the exiled lands and you beat the game after you do the chore of a quest from the ghost. I assume that is most important thing in the city.

Well it was/is a city built and inhabited by giants. Of course it's going to be big. And given that half the city is buried in 100-200 feet of sand...wow.

It needs some dungeons here and there, but the vast scale of it never fails to impress me when looking out over it.

Once you have all the parts the Warmaker asked you to get, then you will see the reason for the city.

The warmaker just talks about the history of the city and the ring of Set. The archivist asks me to get stuff, did you mean him?

I was impressed the first time, now I just regard walking through or around it as a chore tbh.
