Black Dye??

Does anyone know if Black Dye has been added to the game with the recent patches, and if so how do you get it?? I know that Midnight Blue is the closest right now!!

Yes. It takes a high level alchemist to make white or black dyes.

The only thralls that make black and/or white dye are from the purge. I've tried many named thralls and none of them have dye recipies. However human purge enemies will sometimes spawn alchemists and they have the recipie. Good luck!

Black dye is awesome, but you have to find the Master Achelmist for it!!

I can confirm that at level 60 with an Advanced Firebowl Cauldron, Rokur the Alchemist (T4), and the Dyemaker feat that I can NOT make Black or White dye. So at this point, unless there's a hidden recipe somewhere that you have to find, it would appear that 'hiddensong's post is the best lead. At the very least, it may take a specific named alchemist.

That is it. You can get him only from the Purge.

But there is another way to get black dye. The Mobs in the vulcano drop them too if you kill them. Sometimes. But white dye, i dont see it as a drop. Anyone knows there is an Mob how drop white dye?

After the mother of all patches, I had black dye drop from NPC's in the volcano near the portal / Risa. Having a break from the game, not been back there for a while so not sure if that's still the case now.

I also rarely found black dye in the inventory of some vocano people's corpses. Rarely = 3 times so far, they always had black dye 5x in their pockets.
