Abysmal Remnant dropped Reptile Hide instead of Abysmal Flesh?
Went back to farm the boss a bit, but skinning him got me Reptile Hide instead of Abysmal Flesh.
Any idea why this happened?

Damn, I assumed there wouldn't be a difference. I went in with a cleaver for the first run but didn't repair it when it broke and assumed my skinning knife would do the job just as well.
I wouldn't mind farming the thing as much if I could skip all those rising water puzzles.
