Nope, a lot of Tier 4 thralls show up as very big as a way to distinguish them from thr tier 1-3 thralls. A lot of times in a purge, a named thrall or tier 4 will be much bigger then the rest, then become normal sized after breaking them on the wheel.

Feed him whith prime crafted food only.

what it is? they become normal or should be fed with prime ?

Did some tests, tamed with grilled, still the brute NPC lost their physics, sad.

The actual answer is the larger thralls become normal size when broken, the bigger look is to make spotting them as “better” targets easier. The type of food will not affect the size.

All that time on the wheel shrinks them, apparently.

It's not hard to change at all, you just got to change a value in the thrall's data table. Hell, I think I'll go and do that in a wee while and upload the mod.

Curious, which data table is it for converted? I know all the Data tables for map Thralls, not so much converted thralls.

Converted thralls have entries in the same data table as unconverted ones IIRC. I might be wrong, so I'll just launch up the Devkit and check.

Alrighty I looked in the devkit, and what makes them bigger is having their NPCClass entry point to the HumanoidNPCCharacter_20percentbigger_boss blueprint. I thought that converted thralls had entries in SpawnDataTable, but now that I look at it, they aren't.

So either there is a different table that contains their data, or the Wheel of Pain does something to them at runtime that changes the spawned thrall's blueprint.

Do it and i'll run that mod.

Any NPC with Brute in their name deserves to be XL again :)

We took a look, and it seems to be much more convoluted. I thought that the wheel of pain process takes an existing npc, and find's it equivalent in another data table. Which isn't what happens, the NPC itself is modified, and the blueprints don't show how.

Multigun had the idea of making a new race and seeing if the size is reduced for a naturally giant race, rather than having the npc's size dictated by a blueprint.

We know the wheel of pain affects some kind of change.

Does the wheel of pain process expose any external processes like 'MakeMiiniBossesTiny'?

Sorry for the dumb questions, it's been a day.
FiftyTifty May 13, 2019 @ 7:56pm
I looked, but couldn't find anything. We know it is absolutely to do with a change being made to the NPC's blueprint, we just don't know how it's being changed, where it's being changed, and when it's being changed.

It's obviously something to do with the wheel of pains, but I can't find any leads within the blueprints for 'em.
