Whats the different between Conan exile and the Conan Exile- Testlive Client?

Sorry just bought the game yesterday. What is the Conan Exile- Testlive Client? I already have conan exile installed but when i bought it, steam started installing the testlive client. it's like 60 something gb. What is it? Do I need it? Is it better then the original client? Sorry for the noob questions.

Testlive Client is where Funcom releases upcoming patches for players willing to test it out and report issues. It is not necessary to have installed if your intention is to play the game on the latest live version. Since the patch just came out a few days ago, there isn't much difference between live and testlive. That will change in a month or two.

It is not advisable to play your normal game via Testlive. Mods are compatible with the live version of the game, but can and will run into issues on Testlive. Testlive is meant for a testing ground.
