mouse glitch + save settings glitch

Ok, I just downloaded the game for a try on this free weekend. I already encountered 2 glitches before even starting the game.

First, the mouse cursor is completely off. It highlights way above the cursor. Apparently it's a known glitch, can be temporary fixed by playing the game on windowed fullscreen. Ok, I go to the settings page, select windowed fullscreen but since there is no "save" button, only "back", I just hit back and boom 2nd glitch : nothing changes. I go back to settings, and it's back to fullscreen. It seems that there is no settings autosave and since there is no save button, i'm stuck in fullscreen. Unplayable.

Wow 2 glitches back to back without even starting playing, that's a new personal world record. Good job devs.

The saving issue is a recent bug that will be addressed in an upcoming hotfix.

If you need to make any changes for now, it can be done via the available ini's.

I had to change keyboard settings with the mouse glitch since I have an azerty keyboard. It was a real pain. Then I saw your reply. I set FullscreenMode=1 in gameusersettings.ini (in case somebody wonder what to change in what file) and it indeed fixes the mouse glitch.
BUT now I have my window taskbar on top of the game window. Not really better.
Still haven't started the game and already super angry.

Thanks, that did the trick. I started playing, game looks nice but these settings not saving is annoying. Already had to tweak a few things and it does not save while in game either. I had to search these specific settings in ini files.

I wasted time downloading this game. The devs should have fixed the problem with settings not saving before the free weekend.

Ya I know, super inconvenient. If I figure out another way around it besides INI editing I'll let you know. Probably be fixed soon though.

Soon as in before the end of the free weekend? If it was 15 years earlier I might have wasted more time on top of downloading the game to go edit .ini files, but I'd rather just go play another game.

Not sure, sorry. I'm keeping my ear to the ground as it were to try and find out the all important "when." I even took a quick look in the dev kit to see if it was something I could create a quick mod for myself, but ya, kinda stuck atm. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

its a bug and it happens to even AAA studios so relax, has nothing to do with developer competence. and on that note, can't say i've experienced this throughout my time playing.
