Is there a way to have more than 1 character?

I was wondering if I could make a backup of the character, if the game handles a save file or not for specific characters and if so, can I use this back up to technically have more than 1 character?

I suppose if you go into the saved file and change the current saved file name to something different to protect it, maybe.

Hm, might give it a try. Worse come to pass I have not made huge advances other than a makeshift base and some.

Just copy the WHOLE Saved-folder that's ...\Steam\steamapps\common\Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Saved and save it somewhere else. Easiest way (I know of) to swap multiple characters.

There is also a mod if u like to use one. Pippi there u can change and save ur character in game.

Hm. not too keen on the idea of modding. At least until I have a much more solid time in game. However, it might be worth giving some consideration.

Well the mod is nice , because u can do character change and save it in the game over and over. If u do the other save by files u need to be out the game. just a tought

Oh wait, like altering the character's physique and whatnot? huh, that sounds delightful actually. I am very fickle when it comes to appearances and I would certainly love such freedom.

If you have multiple accounts that use family sharing, you can have multiple characters in a single player world. In vanilla Conan this probably would not make much sense. With the Age of Calamitous mod since there are multiple factions, I can have more than one faction represented in my single player game.

I can't play both characters at the same time since I only have one copy of the game. I just alternate between the two characters.

Is that possible through aforementioned mod? or through age of calamitous? the later seems much larger in comparison.

If you have more than 1 account on your computer, they will all share the same single player world as far as I can tell in vanilla also. If you build something on one accounts single player game, it will be there in the other single player game. With Pippi, you can have the characters be in the same clan.

Hey... if youre still interested in changing appearances after ~3 years... an item called the orb of nergal that you can build at level... 40? I think... that lets you alter everything but the gender of your character...
