Night eye potion is not working

Night eye potion make no difference at all when I take it during night. I could see a slightly different if I take it during day time. I'm playing in a single player mode. Does anyone know what's going on?

Sounds like you've got gamma set to max. cos it definitely works.

Would love to see some screenshots before and after.

F12 is default key for taking in game screenshots.

i seem to have the same problem with night eye not helping it makes it a hair brighter but not at all useful if i am north of the wall

Yea, I'm having the same problem, haven't changed anything from before and it used to work rather well, but now, it does not work at all, not sure what its use is since in the dark I can no longer see with it.

Tried this potion for the first time yesterday and had the same issue. Took the potion at night and it got darker if anything, gave the game a weird filter. After a while, I asked my friend how light it was for him and he said it was day (was still quite dark for me) - relogged and it was normal day time...

Well, hopefully they will fix the issue, used that potion a lot; kinda tired of running into rocks in the dark.

It has to be a bug, since it worked great before, well not great but good enough that I used it often. Never had a problem before, but now, it does nothing but change how it looks when there is "light."

I have this damn bug again. Initially it went away a long time ago but recently a 'corrupt update files' loop forced me to reinstall the whole game and now that old night eye not working thing is active again. Never did find out how to fix it... it just kinda went away after a few months..... anyone got any ideas ?

A buddy of mine set his post processing to high and it worked
