Can resources de-spawn due to Elevator position?
Hey guys needs some help, I know that if you build in close proximity to resources they dissapear and stop spawning, well I have a question here.

Im currenly building a network of elevetors all through out jungle. All of them are ofcourse off the ground and only connect on platoes of the jungle mountains.

My issue is im afraid to build more because I dont know if for example an ENTIRE hundred feet or so(where the cable runs in the sky) would void resources growing there below where the cable path runs, on the ground.

So not just where the Elevator is built itself, but an entire stretch if its travel Below* on the ground also affects the spawn rates?

There is a huge pile of Iron where my next Horizontal elevator will go over, the Elevator itself is very high up but I'm worried the game will register Entire elevator travel as a building sector and wherever it travels(in a line from point A to point B) - below will void spawn of resources.

Can someone please confirm it to me? Ty

Probably. Even if the elevator doesn't have land claim, the foundations it connects with does. Land claim extends down (and up) as well as around.

So does the Land claim extend only where elevator is Built?(I made sure I use very little , 1 stone block with elevator, to another single stone block on another nearby mountain)
Or doesit actually claim all the land it traverses in an AOE effect?

I was just hoping that if you claim a peak of the mountaun and it wont void everything around that mountain hundreds of feet below the mist?

Even if thats the case you would say even if the area(no matter how high it is) is claimed all the way to the ground with a single block(like building on the peaks of a jungle tree) it will also claim everything in a linear path wherever the Elevator travels?
Do I understand that correctly? Thx again

Land claim is, I want to say, around 11 or so foundations wide in the x, and y, not sure about the z but I assume it's around the same. So everything within that range of your one block will despawn at default server settings.

If the Elevator itself enforces landclaim, and I'd have to look at itls blueprint to determine that (not at home to look), I'm not sure if it would be the entire range of the elevator or just the ends. But seeing as how the elevator itself doesn't go a ton more in distance then 11 or so foundations, it's about the same regardless.

Alright thx, I will test it when I get home from work. Escensilaly my situation is that the "ends" are not near resources but the wire will be coming through a section of Iron along the way(as the Elevator travels above the pile to reach its destination. I would hope that just traveling in between the ends wont wipe that field of Iron bc there is and Elevator traveling 200 feet above it.

But I will test it and post here later tonight I appreciate the feedback

Short answer is YES. IF you play SP you can change the LandClaimRadiusMulplier BUT it will still effect the underlaying area.
I have my set to 0.25 which is about 2 foundation blocks and it works go for my game play. I am just more careful where I place buildings.
NOTE. standing torches do not effect spawning as far as I could tell.
The wire traveling between the ends points WILL effect spawning.
