they also will not repair if the item is completely broken.
try to repair the regular way without a kit, see if that works.
Which is dumb ... it should reapir a certain percentage amount, no matter what condition it is at
It works and I use it myself. I didnt think I would but recently got on a server and joined some ppl and a nice dude gave me some ancient tools to help me.. In that case the use of the repair kits made sense, since I cannot make those tools yet.
I am up to the 60% repair kit now and that will likely be the last i get. It works while out in the field. Would I get the repair kits if I had not been given these higher level tools? probably not.
I see your point, so yes, just using rocks to repair a high tier item would be silly as well. That said, I just assumed...yes I said it, assumed that lower level kits would be used to repair lower level items, mid level kits to repair mid level items ..etc.
And I thought so at first also.. but they didnt go that way. Or havent so far. I am experimenting with the armor and weapon enhancement stuff now. and other than the one that adds durability I am iffy on them also.
