Whats the best way to kill spiders

I can kill them in two hits with iron pike, but, if there are a bunch of them they just poison me to death. Is there any good defence against poison?

can also use violet cureawll or set antitdote to cure poison

I snipe them down with a bow. By snipe, im in a non aggro range. Or if they are too twitchy i will shoot as soon as they start running towards me.

Raid, house and garden, kills them bugs DEAD!

I find a bow is the best and the easiest. The shield is blocking and timing attacks. The bow, with a roll dodge as necessary, makes spiders pretty simple foes.

Wade in with a shield and ancient sword and just keep pushing and swinging, drinking poison potions and using bandages. You can clear out the whole cave. Not sure how you roll dodge spider spit, never tried that.

JJdancer, the roll dodge will work to buy time for another arrow or two as they are coming in. In the cave, not so much. In close quarters with large numbers, your way is the better method.
