Is there a use for dry wood?

Doesn't seem to be at the moment, or at least not that I've ever found and it only seems to drop from thralls so I guess not even craftable?

It can be creafted in the dryer from teh Frozen North, You get resin from it. From other posts I have seen, makes a nice fuel sorce.

It's good fuel, you get resin as drying byproduct (not as effective as direct harvest, but nonetheless), and you can save coal and convert it into tar.

Good fuel for furnaces (doesn't work in Cauldrons).. The process of making it in dryers is the best way to get resin. You can throw out most of the dry wood you'll get (you get 2 dry wood and 1 resin from each piece of wood).

Gone are the days of chopping trees for resin!!!

Thanks, all, I knew how to make it, just didn't know at the time what to do with it :) I ran a test with wood (2:40 mins.), coal (5:19 mins.), and dry wood (8:00 mins.)...Good stuff :)

Direct resin harvest is still more efficient.
I have 4 dryers. Dryer fuel consumption is 5 bark for 3 wood, so I load each dryer with 300 wood and 500 bark, 1200 and 2000 in total. Wood is fast and easy, but harvesting bark takes time. And while harvesting bark wood and resin are also harvested. So, I've got 1400+ resin while harvesting required bark. That's even more than I'll get by drying wood, and I've already got this resin while loading dryers, no need to wait 3h 20m until wood dries. But after that time I'll get extra 1200 resin, that's also great

Well, I don't have a problem getting bark. I had 10 dryers going and could fill them with wood and bark in a matter of 10 minutes. Come back an hour or two later and have over 3k resin (while I get to do other things during that hour).

I did 6k wood and got 6k resin...so that is a good thing
