Yes i can't say how many but I go far enough to not see the house.
And one of my first big houses, I had to clear alot of space, cutting down trees, removing rocks and so on and when building on top of it and all that, it would never respawn while I was nearby.
But after a certain distance, when coming to the house, everything would be back, all the trees, rocks and all that.
So it is possible that after a certain distance that meat just decay faster.
Just a theory tho.
Keep the spoiled meat sinc eyou can use the new press to get ichor form it.
Edit: Just used one that is in a stack in my bag. The lasting meals expire in 20 hours and then turn to spoiled meat.
