Though I can't answer your question, I felt compelled to tell you how relieved I am you were asking about blocks.
dukes111 Aug 30, 2017 @ 5:27pm
why would you want to no this?
ashuramarsh Aug 30, 2017 @ 5:30pm
because if I use a floor plan or make a map on say a 5 foot by 5 foot grid it helps for layout of whatever I amke. Also if I want to make say a 50 foot tower am I going to need 5 or 6 wall section high to make it.

Just remember, round block fits in round hole... ( unless you use a hammer it wont go into the square hole ) square block fits in the square hole ( wont go into round hole even with hammer )

I would like to know too. I work with architects and engineers, building something with a planned layout only makes sense and it fits into the lore as most cities are built to a planned layout. Might be a screwy layout by our standards but still a plan. As most older(ancient cities) were built with internal defense as a part of it, setting it out to make spaces to trap enemies within the walls is just good defensive planning.

Not historically, no. Most city developed in an organic way, usually around crossroads, near rivers and so on. Modifications were planned, but that was only once the city was already there.

That might not be true for most cities in the US, but it's a pretty young country historically speaking, so it doesn't really count.

I don't know about city planning, but certainly it helps to know what size they are to represent. If I want a wall that is 50 feet long, knwoing if the foundation and/or ceiling are like 5'x5' squares tell me how many I need.

My closest guess on wall sizes has been based on ym character as a female and set to the middle of the tallest height. Standing next to a wall section it look liek it maybe a foot of difference. so I can estimate maybe 7-8 feet per wall, but that may not be correct either. Teh devs may have intended 10 feet or whatever. I can't imagine the size i selected would have made the character 8 or 9 feet tall.

i can ask, but the ones that might have the answer have already gone home for the day.

Got an answer. I foundation is 1 square meter in size.
ashuramarsh Aug 31, 2017 @ 7:55pm
Really? so 3.28 x 3.28? A little worse thna I was thinking.

Thnkas for that. Any ideas on wall height?

They are all the same, designed to fit in a 1 meter cube from what I have seen. Which explaines the odd wedge shaped pieces. Kinda odd when you think about it, all of our really buff characters are no taller than a kitchen counter.

even nowdays many small cities are built in organic way, mostly rural, but exists, it's expensive to build a planned city

It is impossible to follow a plan in my home town. It surrounds the Franklin Mountains, so you have to follow the terrain.

Messurements in Arcitecture are a must, no matter what town or hut you live in.

Builders always use some kind of messure for a building, even a farmers new shed needs
a rope with fife nots in.
And if you have a cathedral in you´r town, man will you find the most advanced caculations!!!

But for Conan , I can´t see the blocks beeing a meter high, as I and all I met would be then les then a meter tall.

You can put two bedroles on one foundation, makes all dwarfes.

I would have to estimate a block to about 2 meters at least.

I find it odd they would be one square meter. If i lay down i fit on one block. Is everyone under1meter tall?
