Insulated wood structures
Apparently, they work just the same as any other structures, no change in the temperature indoors. Wasnt Insulated Wood structures supposed to warm up and sandstone cool inside?

On single player at least it works as advertised with one exception, the temps can be run away hot if wearing any heat boosting fur armors.

works for me.
you can feel the difference in the desert and in the snow region.
in snow region you will definetly see the difference in temeratur inside nsolated buildings

I cant see the difference at all, I build a full insulated wood cube for testing, 1 foundation, 4 walls and 1 ceiling, stood inside and my temperature gaude didnt change at all.

I also have a insulated wood house in the desert (ceiling is not and the foundation either), the temperature gauge also didnt change

waht kind of armor are you wearing? Do you have a either a stove, fire pit, or fireplace inside? Trust me, even inactive said items in the building turn that thing into a human smelter

I've found the same to be true, even wearing the Vanir black ice very warm gear the temperature inside my house is the same as it is outside. It's a tower design with most crafting stations on the second floor, and even standing on that level there's no obvious change.

That said, it's built in an area that is freezing level 2 at least when naked so it might be the extent of cold it can nullify.

I noticed the structure needs to be large (not sure if the larger you build the better) for this effect. Once I built a 3x3 structure, ground, walls and ceiling, the temperature dropped inside! And also, as mentioned, braziers and fireplace also help (fireplace has a very tiny range tho, you have to basically stand in front of it to heat you)

It should definitely have a larger range

The insulated wood structures drop the evironment temp level by 1 level. For example if the area you build in is mostly "Freezing level 3", you will be Freezing level 2 while inside. Fur armor drops similar, a minus 1 level of cold, and the Vanir armor is a minus 2 drop.

Make sure also that you are using 100% insulated and /or black ice structure pieces. If you mix in even ONE piece of stone, stonebrick, or reinforced stonebrick you wont get it. By the way, the cold protection bonus you get is only applied when you get a full "home/shelter" indicator. Lastly as someone else mentioned, placing and running heat generation inside helps as well; campfires do a little, larger does more, furnaces, etc. The fireplace is great because it requires no fuel and runs forever, but you'll need several per level of a medium to larger size base.

Thanks! That was most helpful!

I have not seen any change in temperature in several rooms made entirely out of insulated wood. So it seems fairly buggy atm.

I know the Temperature system does still neeed some polish. In truth, temperatures in my T3 base in the desert range from Freezing 1 to normal. Never have I gotten the Sun icon on the temperature while in that part of my base. I actuallly have to leave the base to get that type of change.

It seems to be, my house is all Insulated in a freezing 1 zone, I can stay naked inside because the temperature remains neutral in all rooms. I made sure to set the foundations slight off the ground
