Map Size?

Has any information on map sized been released yet? As a "sandbox" game full of dangers in the wilds....I really hope the map itself is fairly large.

I think they said once they put in all biomes, it will be around 53K^2. Possibly a bit "bigger" than Skyrim.

not sure if you ar familiar with ARK but ARK's island map is supposed to be 70% of the size of Conan's map. it will be fairly large on completion.

Yup. Around 53km^2 in total with all the biomes.

Well that puts a smile on my gaming face!

Next question: will all biomes be on the same server? I ask because with a map that large with a server cap of only 75 people means there's gonna be a lot of open space!

They will increase the ammount of player per server when they add new biomes. I think they said, that new biomes will be part of the open world. So you don't have to change the instance if you want to leave the desert to a snow biome.

70. And I doubt there will be much open space. 70 is the cap for people online. Could be 200 sleepers :p So expect some queues I guess.

It will be a big open world, no instances. Jens said it here on the forum somewhere^^

53km^2 and you guys are happy? Arma 3 got 270km^2 and believe me - it's not too big. I was hoping for something bigger to be honest, but it seems that the situation on map will be exactly the same like in Ark. Shame.

You have 0 hours on Arma 2 and don't own Arma 3, how can you say the map is empty when you haven't played it?

I went to YouTube and watched a video expecting something interesting. That map is literally nothing but a shape.

You made this map and your link is the original? Then just: thank you for doing this! It helped me very often to show interested players how the map size could look in the future. And sorry I linked the "stolen" image, didn't know from who the original was. :(
