Perhaps they can announce it in a server-wide message prior, or maybe people can see in the "server log" what kind of commands the admin is invoking.
I don't think there is much that can be done to deter admin abuse other than players leaving and refusing to play on their servers.
Maybe, as for pvp servers where public buildings are less frequent it wouldn't be an issue. It's not a bad idea per say. I've seen some mighty shady admins in the past who used commands in secret.
I would never play on a private server where the admin take part in PvP or play with other players that do. Server admins should take the same roll as board game, game masters does. He is either there to create live events or just monitoring the game play.
there has to be a chat message of whats happening (for example: admin blabla spawned 10 flawless longswords), and it should not be possible to turn that off. lets push this great idea so funcom includes it.
I want to call your statistic a gross exaggeration because it obviously is, but then I don't have admin messages to tell for sure.
A log that can be seen by the whole server is a must for me.
As an admin I would always communicate what I spawn and for what I spawn this. But to prevent any confusion I want that the server members can see everything I do.
I like this.
Are you employed with Funcom, or do the developers read the suggestions posted on this forum? :)
