Crom diety
You will not gain any religious powers with Crom and can`t summon an Avatar. However do you get any other benefits to follow Crom? :)

Mysterious Gods > Reliable Gods as a theme.

If you take in consideration the 1982 conan movie, crom did help against overwhelming odds by sending valaria. I think this could be an interesting and random dynamic that could be incorporated

That's what I was wondering too, If we give up the benefits of summoning avatar and other features within the religon system, wouldn't we be in a disadvantage against other player's groups?

Or ....maybee you will have the advantage of not needing divine intervention and learn to solve and deal with your problems yourself, making YOU Better then them.

Consider this, religious types will have to spend some of their character development points (xp or whatever else they will be called) on religios things and crafting recipies, crom followers won't have to do this and will be able to pull slightly ahead.

The strength to strive and slay, so to speak

Too bad religion is so useful in PvP.

Atleast we can <insert sleeping around comment here> it up :D and worship multiple. We just need to find the altar, As for the special crafted stuff, Just get a "someone" to make it for you.
Assuming you have a "someone"

I agree in terms of balance Crom should have something special otherwise Crom will not even be in play and should be scratched. Give Crom worshipers and extra aura of protection, armor, guards, faster crafting time, something decent guys, anything . Come on now.

Crom frowns upon the weak.

The entire point of Crom is that he is only chosen by players to opt out of having to do the religion aspect of the game. Giving him benefits destroys both his purpose as well as the lore of Conan

Crom is hardcore mode, no time for prancing rituals and sacrificing bits of people on altars.

The only thing Crom should give you is a higher spawn rate of enemies nearby as he sends dooms down to you.
IronWolf Jan 27, 2017 @ 5:15am
I understand Crom. I also understand that it's a wasted chance to enhance the game. If you don't want to do religion you already can choose a religion and just not participate. Why not take the Crom opportunity and make it a viable choice for tribes to actually be. Why is one going to cripple their tribe and chances by not summoning an Avatar to destroy their enemies. I get lore wise Roleplay wise it's understandable but you can still accomplish that by adding in some flavor to choosing Crom as your god to benefit the tribe.

I hope they add something like it will be harder to be corrupted with Crom - so you get something.

In the Conan lore Crom doesn't want worship and most often will Curse, or in some other way hurt those that call upon him. The only few times he's sent a blessing or miracle is when people have out right said they want no help from him (or any other gods). Another way to put it is He helps only those who help themselves.

So most likely they aren't going to implement anything for him, because the set up they have right now most reflects him with out hurting the players.

+1 those who help themselves. no buffs no god. except good odds of plunder or even some type of passive buff like or he's just an "Hardcore type mode" kinda like "deprived in dark souls" major disadvantage specially since other's has a god to summon. their should be some type of counter against other gods.

so you are at a disadvantage against other players what have gods that provide special abilities.

You should get steel weapon to start out with from Crom
