i guess check the age of conan wiki for some of the races: http://aoc.wikia.com/wiki/Race
or play these in the background:
https://youtu.be/BLsFxVE2HN0
https://youtu.be/Xap8p_nlXkk
The Coming of Conan the Cimmerian
The Bloody Crown of Conan
The Conquering Sword of Conan
they contain all storys written by robert e howard plus the original map of the thurian continent and the whole history of the hyborian age from atlantis to our early history (conans world is our world aswell just thousends of years earlier
Just compare the voice of the trailer:

to the voice at the beginning of this:

Seconded
Know, oh prince, that between the years when the oceans drank Atlantis and the gleaming cities, and the years of the rise of the Sons of Aryas, there was an Age undreamed of, when shining kingdoms lay spread across the world like blue mantles beneath the stars.
Robert E. Howard, The Phoenix on the Sword 1932
much earlier than the movie
ps: Þórim blóðøx your name is awesome
And tbh again, it's not really my cup of tea regarding movies or books. Also just watched the first of the LOTR for exemple and I didn't really like it.
But I love playing fantasy RPG games with similar content, like Skyrim.
It just has to be enjoyable.
And Conan Exiles is not even a story focused RPG, so, whatever.
