we all need more games to get VR the new standart
Anyway if all else fails there's always vorpx.
I just hope the game renders true stereoscopic 3d and geometry.
The only other important point would be a freelook mode that is unhitched from your sword/shield (kind of like arma's freelook)
I'll be playing Conan in VR with or without native support (using vorpx) if that's not your bag then go ahead and the enjoy flat screen past. Us VR-heads will be living it up in the future, will send you postcards in 360 though ;)
Why the hate dude... tire of seeing VIVE fanboys rag on Oculus Rift... Facebook helped fund it not make the headset...
HTC couldn't make their own so they made screens and valve did the rest. hahahah
For example, Blue Ray wasnt the only high def option, it was Sony single handedly choosing Blue Ray that made the choice for everyone else. They know the score. Functionality.
Not always with Microsoft on everything that is for sure. After reading my thoughts on Windows 10 you would think I hate them.
Also the x box controller sucks Im getting the Steam controller asap. Hope its better.
To the topic, if VR is actually good i bet this game gets it eventually.
On a separate note I did actually get Conan in VR sort of.... you can download the unreal epic game launcher and download the modding tools. In the game you can turn on the vr plugins and sort of get it to run. I was able to get into one of the test worlds and mess around but it was very basic and in first person or third person. I think if someone that new enough about unreal could modify the blueprints and intergrate motion controls into the game but not sure how well the full campanign mode would run. The biggest problem I saw was that the menu system was unusable in the state it was in because it didn't render correctly to the headset. It was tough to create the character and the cutsceens were impossible to view. I ended up starting the game engine play in flat mode saving it and then going into vr.
you'll get disoriented even more than on a flat screen...
