Diana's apron and gloves
I recently acquired a named thrall called Diana Steelshaper, she gives a blacksmith apron and gloves as special items.
I put them on but I dont really see what they do and online articles seem void on the subject.

So anyone know what they are used for specifically or what bonuses they give?

so far i'm not happy with the named thralls they craft crap so are kind of pointless

It would be nice if those gloves and apron actually gave some special recipe or even just a bonus, yes. Something that makes having them worth something.
I have some 30 thralls and have made at least 50 runs into inhabitated area's, but only one named thrall.

I've seen so many good ideas pass through these forums and good mods made for the game. I only play official servers so I don't get use of the Mods. One day Funcom will implement some of these things into their game I hope.

you better make your own game if you waiting for that, you would make it much sooner and maybe even better

all crafted thrall items are cosmetic atm.

Eh not entirely. Some of the smiths give you alternate armor recipes that give more armor than regular medium. Many of them with much easier repair materials than medium.

Named armorsmiths totally worth it. Even if you can craft heavy armor (cuz repair cost, at a certain point unless you are pvping or fighting one of the boss monsters medium is by far good enough).

Legendary Armorer and Joka Ironfist are good to get.

If you have a named person who crafts just like 1 or 2 clothing items, check them every patch. Joka last patch crafted nothing, now he does blackhand armor + the leather apron & gloves.

I'd like to get my hands on the hyena armour, that looks interesting.

I suppose they will give Diana's stuff a purpose eventually, right now the Level 3 guys are quite interesting. I really like the Stygian shield for instance. Easy to fix and quite effective for what it is. Thankfully, shields dont break as easily anymore.

Though there is a bug where, if an NPC blocks with a shield, they can get stuck and any hit you deal hurts you.
Likewise I noticed that if you hold the shield up and a spear NPC attacks you, they suffer damage themselves. Though its something entirely different.

One of the t3 armorsmith types i forget which, does gloves, pants, and legs. Legendary Armorer (werehyena camp area spawn) does full set. I assume he'll get a name eventually.
Hyena armor is currently on par w/ the armor you can learn from the Dregs and the helm is like super duper cool looking. Uses bones and silk to repair, which the silk once you start farming spiders for ichor you end up with more than you could ever really use.

And yeah, look forward to coming patches whenever they add the medium crafting system to the other types. Eventually they will make something cool.

The named smelters are amazing - difficult to keep them 'fed' with raw materials - but, once the base is built and nothing major to be done, then they lose their purpose a bit.

All of the med gear from legedaries is outdated. Yes its better medium armor but are you not already wearing heavy armor? In 99% of cases I bet yes. and don't get we started on the blacksmith legendary offering an iron weapon that's +1 damage of a standard iron weapon. Lol

i found the armorer that makes the dancer outfit but it has like very low durability like 5 i think i cradted it went out got hit by hynea couple of times and i was naked again they need to rework the stats on most of armors obtained by t3- named crafters since you cant get them easily early on
Nailes Apr 19, 2017 @ 1:15pm
I'd have to agree with that last statement. The stats of legendary weapons and armours need reworking.
Legendary medium armour thats better than standard med. but with a speed/stamina bonus for instance. And obviously legendary weapons that do more damage than what they do now.

A weapon like an exceptional cutlass is currently a great gift for a lower levelled player. The other items are cosmetic fun only atm, like running around in the shemite tunic and pants(in mad colours ofc).
