I have some 30 thralls and have made at least 50 runs into inhabitated area's, but only one named thrall.
you better make your own game if you waiting for that, you would make it much sooner and maybe even better
Eh not entirely. Some of the smiths give you alternate armor recipes that give more armor than regular medium. Many of them with much easier repair materials than medium.
Named armorsmiths totally worth it. Even if you can craft heavy armor (cuz repair cost, at a certain point unless you are pvping or fighting one of the boss monsters medium is by far good enough).
Legendary Armorer and Joka Ironfist are good to get.
If you have a named person who crafts just like 1 or 2 clothing items, check them every patch. Joka last patch crafted nothing, now he does blackhand armor + the leather apron & gloves.
I suppose they will give Diana's stuff a purpose eventually, right now the Level 3 guys are quite interesting. I really like the Stygian shield for instance. Easy to fix and quite effective for what it is. Thankfully, shields dont break as easily anymore.
Though there is a bug where, if an NPC blocks with a shield, they can get stuck and any hit you deal hurts you.
Likewise I noticed that if you hold the shield up and a spear NPC attacks you, they suffer damage themselves. Though its something entirely different.
One of the t3 armorsmith types i forget which, does gloves, pants, and legs. Legendary Armorer (werehyena camp area spawn) does full set. I assume he'll get a name eventually.
Hyena armor is currently on par w/ the armor you can learn from the Dregs and the helm is like super duper cool looking. Uses bones and silk to repair, which the silk once you start farming spiders for ichor you end up with more than you could ever really use.
And yeah, look forward to coming patches whenever they add the medium crafting system to the other types. Eventually they will make something cool.
Legendary medium armour thats better than standard med. but with a speed/stamina bonus for instance. And obviously legendary weapons that do more damage than what they do now.
A weapon like an exceptional cutlass is currently a great gift for a lower levelled player. The other items are cosmetic fun only atm, like running around in the shemite tunic and pants(in mad colours ofc).
