It was good fun, very atmospheric.
But we need dungeons for lvl 50. Everything we got from it was useless.
If you go, to get inside you need to lure a thrall on the circle and kill him, then it will rise up with stairs appearing.
Make sure you bring a bow as you'll need it to shoot targets that increase the water lvl allowing you to proceed.
Make a bed outside, and a chest with spare weapon and bow as you'll likely need to kill a thrall again to open stairs to get inside.
It took us awhile to figure out how do we kill this boss? he's surrounded by an acid pool and we can't hit him besides using arrows.
Use a shield, stand still, take some hits and eventually he'll go under water, then shortly reappear jumping out to try and squash you. That is when you attack him.
The shield doesn't block his projectiles though, not even the Ancient. And yeah, it wasn't really worth it, and I did it as lv50, but it took forever, I cannot imagine the Boss being fun for lower levels, who actually get something from it. The Reptile Armor is definitely a nice set for when your waiting for Steel in the late 40's, although it takes waaaay too much supplies to make. I can only imagine how mad I would be if someone killed me and took it.
I also hate how damn fast the acid pool fills back after he died. When I harvested the corpse, i was overweight, and after fixing that situation, the acid pool closed. If it wasn't for the fact that I had another player with me, I would have never known about the book at the bottom of the stairs in the pool, and was pretty annoyed when I had to swim down to get it.
If their going to make the dungeon based on arrows, they should at least have the skeletons drop flint arrows for those who weren't fully prepared (especially since arrows way so freaking much). And we should be able to make bone arrows with "Handcrafting", for this very reason.
ah nvm... yeah somehow I skipped that part lol
You can block the long projectiles easily, but if you're closer he'll use a spray that has too much area of effect to block
