Report a translation problem
Sadly, that's the way the clan system is set up right now. Everything you have will go into the clan's name thus becoming the clan's and not your character's property.

You also run the risk of getting the "This Land Is Already Claimed" bug after you join a clan on anything you've built. Server resets generally help with that.

This may be a necro but due to outdated information, it's important for me to provide updated information for people who may find this thread from google.
As for today, this is still true. The last person to leave a clan will take ownership of everything.
You will get frightening in-game messages that all your buildings will be lost. This is not true. You won't lose them. You will retain all your buildings, containers, thralls, etc.
The reason I tried this is because I was a solo player that accidentally created a clan. I was about to leave it when it gave me frightening messages that I would lose all my buildings. Searching the internet seemed to give conflicting messages. Thankfully that wasn't the case.
