How do Darfari survive?
They eat people, I get that... but even with a Yog Cleaver you get very little ritual flesh from a corpse (1 per corpse) which would barely feed one person, let alone the amount of people in some of the camps. Regular human flesh is an option, but it gives you food poisoning. So what, they just live with food poisoning?

My point, I suppose, is there should be able to be something you can do with regular human flesh. Either cook it, or remove the food poisoning from it if you worship Yog or get taught by the Yog NPC because it makes very little sense from a lore perspective. You have these large camps of Darfari, and the idea that they're living on purified human flesh alone just doesn't add up.

It is really, really amazing that this is your focus.

Well, they used to have a LOT more people . . .

You can feed a thrall in the wheel of pain on human flesh, appearantly its only the players who get food poisoning from it. Gameplay mechanic I suppose.

Yeah, I know you can use it as fuel in the wheel of pain. It just seems like an oversight that human flesh has such a negative impact on the player when clearly it's useful for NPCs. I'd even understand if there was a way to cook it or something. But as is, it's just considered raw meat and does more harm than good. Which kind of sucks if you're RPing as a Yog follower or something, as eating actual human flesh is very bad for you. Purified is great, but in short supply. So it makes you wonder just how bad it must be to live in a Darfari camp. Everyone with food poisoning around all the time.

Not with the new server settings. eating human flesh in rp is alot more easy now.

Nonsens, a human body will supply you for two weeks, at least. Just store the meat cool and dry or - my favorite - marinade it. Makes it smoother, too!

I'm simply loving that you mentioned this issue!
Basicaly I was brainstorming for a few days on it as well...Why don't we have a bit more options a bit more in game content due to raw human flesh.

Let me share, what I personaly figured out, I'm realy interested about your opinion due to my suggestions:
- we should be able to slap other character's backside with raw human flesh!
- we should be able to clap by using 2 raw human flesh (so basicaly dual wielding with raw human flesh)
- also! and in my opinion it is a HAVE TO, we should be able throw raw human flesh (as the javelin for example) so our opponent would step on it and basicaly slip on it's fat surface and being knocked down for a few sec. nOW HERE WE HAVE AN ISSUE: becouse we have to separate somehow when someone sliped on raw human flesh and when someone gets knocked down by a hammer, so I would suggest a simple solution: The character that stepped on a raw human flesh should make crying sound and should start to shout, that:
"ohhhh the f***ing, m***er f****ing s**t that I steped on a raw human flesh again!"

So yea, that would be it!
I hope you like my suggestions please share if you would add something!

I see your suggestions and I raise you one. Tossing raw human flesh as bait for carnivores to help you flee for your life or avoid tedious combat while trying to drag a thrall back to your base. :-P

Game Balance

Besides, don't you use it in corpse lockers.

Curse you and your logic!!!

Perhaps their diet contains other food than just man flesh. I like some potatoes and carrots with my long pig.

I realize my mistake is to take this question seriously, but just for the record: Yog only requires his followers to eat human flesh once a month. Darfari do not eat only human flesh; like all cannibal cultures in our own history, they reserve human flesh for "special occasions."

Just so you know, eating human flesh does not make you ill it is eating parts of the nervous system nature and organs, brain, liver etc that make you ill.
We did not evolve eating human flesh for the simple reason its is very efficent so has very low calorific content so we didnt evolve eating one another.
Justy311 Apr 2, 2017 @ 7:23am
@Sonja Actually I didn't know that. That's good information to have. I was under the impression that it was all/the majority of their diet.

@Molosus I was speaking in game terms, not real life. If you consume Human Flesh in the game, it gives you (the player character) food poisoning. Which made me wonder how the Darfari or the slaves on your Wheels of Pain deal with it.
