Is the Pickaxe worth making or is it a waste?

IMO it's not worth it. The axe and pick are light enough that they are worth using. The pickaxe also gets HALF as much resource on many things, and none os some of the rares pick of axe gets.

I don't see the point at all in using pickaxe :)

It's worth it for trees since you get both secondary resources. Pair that with snake arrows and you're set to go.

If it is fixed than maybe I will try it out anyways but it would be nice to just have that extra hotbar spot

I'll test it out again when the massive update is done :) Maybe you are right, i dont' know. That'd be cool if it gets same as both pick and axe now

Yes, it's fixed. Essentially it's like pick+ hatchet/axe in one version but with less durability sadly...

It is my go to tool now. It gets full resources from everything and as mentioned above gets both branches and bark from trees as well as the wood. Its just easier to only have 1 gathering tool to repair and saving the valuable extra hotbar slot. Since they fixed it i havent found anything it doesnt do properly

For me it was an issue and had it as a replacement for the axe, only for he trees. It's up to you in the end. Try it.
