Number of thrall per player?
How many thralls can a player have in total?

As far as I can tell there is no limit to how many you can have, although placing them becomes tricky because you cannot place them too close to one another, thus giving up a poor man's thrall limit.

They should add a thrall limit for clans though. need some sort of balancing for late game. Like as far as the fighters and archers go, but maybe put a cap on everything so ur only allowed a max of 5 per thrall type. This would add a cool dynamic of removing ur lwoer level thralls to get the lvl 3s

got about 100 in one base (area) throughout whole map, maybe 180? (clan) and probably over 500 between everyone (Server)

None are at limit yet.

And there in lays a potential problem, one that has haunted a ton of games. How do you balance PvE vs PvP, answer, you don't, and keep the two factions happy. These are two different types of games and should be treated like that. You have a start button for the PvP code and one for PvE, don't mix them.

These are two different types of games and should be treated like that. You have a start button for the PvP code and one for PvE, don't mix them.
This doesn't have anything to do with balance in pve vs pvp. I'm talking late game. it might become a situation where everyone just runs around trying to get as many thralls as they can and at some point could cause lag for some computers not that it should matter but who knows it may cause server crashes if not optimized. I play pvp and haven't ran into any issues with thralls yet but I can see there being an ark-esk balancing issue where u jsut try and get as many thralls(dinos) as you can rather than trying to get the best ones you can. it's all preference but it's my 2 cents on the matter. I just personally like variety so I don't want it to become this thrall spam meta

Ya, I see your point, just saying, when thralls are fixed, more part of the game, limits for PvPers will affect PvEers.

I'm not sure if you play PvP or PvE but might I ask(since I don't play PvE) why you'd ever need an endless amount of thralls in PvE? Is there some sort of raiding or defense needed in PvE?

People can still break your stuff with explosives in PvE. Only thralls can fight back.
