What has been working really well for me is the majority points into vitality. I end up with around 40 points in vitality and a good mix of str agi and grit with whatever is left over.

Mostly this.... until they actually balance weapons and stats. Stats are pretty much broken and mostly useless. Stack vitality and just soak hits. Won't even need to overencumber yourself with heavy armor.

I always do 20 vit, grit, and enc. Lotsa people like to stack vitality farther, but I prefer to dump the rest into str even if everybody hates on it. Did a 39 str, 20 vit, 10 grit, 17 enc build on one server and it was fun. That server had a sprint mod on it though where it took less stam.

Vitality(30+) and Agility(10-20) most important stats for tanky builds in pvp(best solo build for pvp IMO).

Strenght combo with a lot of grit can lead to less honorable fighting if you hit and run and hit and run and block with a shield vs other enemies. Other strategy is to make other people chase you that have less stamina and when they run out of it, you run in and hit them dead. Another Strategy with high grit is using a bow and run and shoot when people try and melee you and when they run away you can usually outrun them because of 30+ Grit and archer them while following. Just dont go into 1v1 melee fights with str+grit. (Be prepared to get a lot of hate speech coming your way with this build.)

Encumbrance+ Grit nice if you are the farmer of the team. Also after raids you can carry a lot if you with a clan that mostly focuses on str/vit builds. A person that can carry crap tons of loot always usefull.

Survival+Accuracy useless IMO. Archery leads to easy dodges or people with shields just hold up their shields while running towards you could lead to serious problems for you.

I would suggest building to your playstyle and also what is needed in the clan.

Also whatever you do, do not jump down a cliff or etc while in combat. I have seen so many people do this while PVP and then they just fall to their deaths. Then I take to safe route down and loot their bodies. Using trees and rocks to your advantage can help, also massive npc camps can get gankers off you but could lead to more problems for you if you're unexperienced in not getting hit by NPCs.

You need 25 pts in strength to get +8 damage per hit , so it's better off dropping pts into vitality (hp) and agility which inceases armor which does little with light armor but pays off big with heavy armor

You are wrong about that. 25 points into strenght will give 37.5% extra melee damage with melee weapons based on their stats. I do agree that vitality+agility still a better build but still best to put about 20 points into str with high vitality and 15 into agility.

EDIT: Each point into str gives 1.5% damage increase by the way.

I got the strength number form guy on YouTube tested ancient kopeth with 25 strength and with 0 strength difference was 8 damage so it's not wrong.

That youtuber was wrong. We tested it with high strength before.

You work it out like this. weapon damage * (1+ (points in strength * 0.015)) = total melee damage.

I did the calculations with 25 strength. 28.5 damage extra added on top of the 76 damage the ancient khopesh does that = 104.5 damage.

A high vitality build with no str will out tank a high str build with no vitality in 1v1 combat. It does a lot of extra damage but yeah.

Make sure you test on nekid people =)

39 str with a kopesh on a person in full steel (minus helmet because, no helmet option is gayyyy) did around 42 dmg off the top of my head.
