Even in singleplayer. This is annoying as f... :D
Like a hunter station that gets a low amount of pelts and bone over time, higher thrall tiers = better pelts.
Miner station, again, small amounts of stone over time, tier 2 coal, tier 3 iron or something.
Stuff like that but, low enough to not make it easy mode.
Agreed. I remember in Ark, micromanaging a lot of torches, filling them with fuel, turning them on and off, was just painful over time. In the end, I stopped using them altogether, and stopped playing Ark also far various reasons.
The current mechanic of torches not needing fuel, while they can still be turned on and off on a need basis, is the best solution in my opinion. If they implement fuel mechanics for torches, I hope that there will be a server setting to keep them burning without fuel. Yes, the same could then be achieved with mods, but certain basic functionalities should be available directly at the server settings, without players having to download a mod.
Personally I would never play on a server that requires micromanaging of torches and their fuel. I don't mind if others enjoy that type of game mechanic; they could refuel their torches to their heart's content if it were up to me, I have just turned allergic to such mechanics myself. For me it is non-negotiable.
