Best food for thralls?
What is the BEST thing to feed thralls. Iv heard meat makes it go much quicker but is this true? Or is gruel the best?

I've seen the meat claims too, I see no difference. Between my first real avatar and my current one I tested with admin.

6 wheels of pain.

Gruel + No Taskmaster
Gruel + lvl 4 Taskmaster
Savoury Meat + No Taskmaster
Savoury Meat + lvl 4 Taskmaster
Exotic Flesh + No Taskmaster
Exotic Flesh + lvl 4 Taskmaster

The full breakdown of completion time differences, taking into account all variables including activations times, the possition of the sun, wind speed.

Nada.

No difference.

None.

Maybe its just me thats bugged and it works for others or its a massive placebo people are eating.

Well thanks for your reply my dude

If its any consolation, I hope it is just bugged for me and it starts working cause breaking slaves takes a horrible amount of time in single player.

Do the different meat types last for different lengths of time?

i.e. is using better meat not more time-efficient, but more materials-efficient?

Edit - I see someoene added exactly that point. Excellent. So it's not that they're not more effective, it's that you epxected a different sort of effectiveness.

You expected speed and they gave you materials efficiency.

Gruel lasts the longest. 200 gruel which takes no time to make, is food for about 5 hours and you'll have maybe one spoil.

Not spoil time, use time. How often is gruel consumed? How many gruel are used for the entire taming process?

Conversely, how much meat is used in the entire taming process?

Again, not how much -spoils- (that's only helpful for lazy people who want to set-and-forget, you can minimize spoilage with active maintenance) but how muc his used?

I am not in game to throw a gruel into the wheel but you cannot make a judgement just solely on one thing.

Spoilage is a big concern since meat spoils so fast, you would have to add x amount of meat for the breaking plus anticipate how much will be spoiled by the end.

I tested this myself to find out two things -

1) does the wheel finish quicker with different foods? Answer: No
2) is there any difference in the thrall (i.e. stronger, faster, bouncier tits) based on the food? Answer: Not that I could tell.

Therefore, I am always using gruel since it's far easier to put enough in up front to last through the entire process.

Different food does not make a difference in the speed the thrall is broken down, but gruel lasts longest before spoiling ( and by a wide margin). Therefore the answer is gruel. I generally put 3 hours worth of gruel to the wheel at a time.

I have no idea how long it actually lasts but longer than is necessary imo. Same gruel tends to be good for several thralls.
