Is it worth building with stonebrick, or wait for reinforced?
(That goes for the doors too)

How strong is stonebrick and the door? It's time consuming to craft enough to replace your existing sandstone base so maybe it's better to skip it and wait till reinforced which I know is strong. It takes hundreds upon hundreds of iron bars for stonebrick walls and foundations which take forever to craft, and afterward it may not be strong enough to defend your base so you'll be upgrading again anyway.

I never see stonebrick and maybe that's the reason.

Both are pretty costly in resources, both t2 and 3 can only be blasted just determines how much they have to use.

If you're playing on retail rates and your server is PVP, you should be going for T2 as quickly as possible so your base doesn't get cleared by steel tools in ~5 minutes. Worry about T3 after you get settled in with stonebrick.

That's what big clans are currently doing on my official PVP server.

Yes it is worth it. It's cheap and requires 3 explosives to blow out the door alone. T3 only requires five explosives to destroy the T3 door.

T3 is a minor upgrade overall but one you should work towards after you've secured your original base with T2. Remember, anyone can destroy T1 easily.

Depends on your server..for instance on my official server there is a 10 man clan (25% of the server) who can and do summon Gods....no tier will stand up to a God so its a waste to build more than sandstone...at least till they balance large man clans vs/ solo players since there are a lot of solo players on this game. Large clans can summon the God waaaay to easy...maybe a week cooldown?...who knows if they will even address it.

That's what I was thinking I should do but I'm not sure just how strong stonebrick is. I have one of those cliff bases everyone loves so it's not exactly easy to get to me but if you do it's just sandstone and a flimsy tier 1 door standing in your way.

So stonebrick can't be harmed by weapons? Does that go for the door as well?

Oh wait I have the upgrades backwards then. I thought stonebrick was only a minor upgrade from sandstone and reinforced the large upgrade.

So yeah it's worth it I think.

Correct. Only T1 is affected by weapons.

T2 Stonebrick (as opposed to sandstone) is pretty easy to build (pretty sure it's just bricks, iron reinforcements [which are the longest wait time] and the shaped wood. That's much easier than the Reinforced stone (t3), which requires reinforced bricks. And since both T2 and T3 structures can only be destroyed by explosives, yes, you should definitely upgrade to T2 ASAP.

You can always be YOG'd - so you don't want to present too obvious of a target. Perhaps diversify over a few different bases so that one YOG won't wipe you out. But even if you get YOG'd, rebuilding T2 doesn't take long at all.

I'd say go for T2 just for that early raid protection. Sandstone is 100% not safe (not counting geographic advantages).

Once you can unlock all enssential T3 building parts, you can always respec and skip T2. But if you are "builder" heavy, I personally suggest just get all 3 tiers learned.

I've been reading through the first page of post and everyone says tier 2 but what tier 2 is best between Stonebrick and insulated wood? Both doorframes have 35k hp and both respected doors have 25k hp. Stonebrick uses brick and insulated wood uses resin but both use shaped wood and iron reinforcement.
So what one is better or at that point is it more cosmetic preference?

OK thanks as for razing the thread I didn't want to create a new thread since this one showed up In my search and was the right topic besides it being old. Sorry about that. Maybe old threads like this shouldn't show up in searches lol

Dumb auto text I keep needing to correct the auto correct lol sometimes I don't catch it.
