Purified Meat Nerf - Yog Now Useless?
Maybe I'm missing something in later tiers, but with the nerf to Purified Meat no longer giving regen, is there any point in worshoping Yog in T2 or T3? The food source isn't all that great as one exotic meat does equally as good in filling hunger.

T2 from what I've read doesn't really offer anything good. I also don't think T3's weapon is all that useful?

So what I'm getting at is what is the purpose of the Yog altars? Might as well follow Chrom lol. If I'm missing something please let me know, I wish to follow Yog still, but the benefits don't seem worth it.

RIP yog.
Hello mitra!

So just incase anyone didnt notice.
Patch note wave inc soon: http://steamcommunity.com/games/440900/announcements/detail/579113461505797491

Poor yogians, Of course thier meat gets nerfed because everyone on a server instantly turns cannibal once they work out what yog meat does/did.

Looks like we are all swapping to Mitra :D (Or atleast putting our altar in the deidicated shrine area. RIP yog altar you will be missed for your shiny light <3
Edit: Thanks for post merge mod :D Didnt see the old post.

I guess early on, non-spoiling meat is big. Once you get settled tho and can kill things easily, meat is never an issue. I'm dumping stacks of it because I have too much.

Kind of like how Ambrosia health regen is big early on, but once you get settled and can brew potions, having a supply of aloe potions is not an issue right...

Honestly, it was obvious purified meat was OP in its bugged form... non-spoiling food that also sated some thirst and ALSO healed over time.

Once the bug is fixed it will still be a usefull item to keep on stock, as a quality of life thing so the first thing you do when you log in is not ALWAYS hunting for food. Much the same way Ambrosia is a quality of life thing of having an alternative to farming aloe, which is common enough as an NPC drop.

By early-on it probably means first 5 mins of your total game time

Yog's fine by me, don't see a reason in switching. I got Yog, my friend got Mitra. In total we have plenty of non spoiling food/water resource + healing resourse.

To summon Yog and purified flesh doesn't spoil (as far as I know).
This ^

Plus :
- Weight is 0.12 compared to grilled steaks 0.20
- More food pr. eaten piece

To be fair, it's a fairly common occurrence for a bug to affect gameplay balance (case-in-point: issues with Explosive Jars). We understand this fix may decrease the overall power of Yog meat, but please note that you are not "locked" into a worshiping a single deity.

There are NPCs in the Exiled Lands that would be more than happy to indoctrinate eager disciples to new religions.
So.. we can use all 3? is that what im hearing?
Yes, I use all 3 at the moment. It costs no points when you learn the religion from the npcs. No need at all to fork out 50 points each.

Kinda like using Mitra for healing over time instead of putting points into a cauldron?

Hunger and thirst is not hard to manage. 1 minute of your game time can give you food for hours. Healing over time, whether through potions or Mitra, is important at all stages of the game.

My suggestion is to find something better for Yog. Nonspoiling meat is pretty insignificant compared to what Set and Mitra bring to the table. Especially when you look at T2/T3 upgrades. Yog has nothing. Perhaps the meat slows down the thirst AND hunger timers so that you don't need to eat/drink as often? Then it'd be a little better.

Cauldron is essential in making steel. Everyone should have it.

Yog meat does not spoil that is good enough. you dont have to weak up every day and Farm food. you can just have a Stash of Yog Meat in a chest. and it will be there always. its the only food that does not spoil and everything spoils so fast.

and T2 alter is really nice i love that 1 hand spear. maybe its just me. but its really good you can even throw it. and if you got Range attack damage its even better when thrown
Biberdark 15/fev./2017 às 8:38
Maybe we get a mod which patches regen of yog meat back into the game.
Onaturi 15/fev./2017 às 8:40
Personally i would remove the meat and give the ability for tier 1/ those who picked yog on normal human flesh cooking on the campfire.
Now for the special thing. Use the cleaver to get skulls of the human body. With said skulls craft a placeable item,
that removes corruption on yog religous guys (10-100 times weaker then dancer T1),
but adds corruption for those who are not.
Can only be placed within proximity of your Yog shrine
Also 1 hitable with fists and on servers where structure damage is turned of it disables the corruption effect.
Vahalla Ice 15/fev./2017 às 8:43
We could all gripe about this nerf if you could only have 1 religion, but seeing that you can worship all the gods and get all the gods perks, its no reason to gripe about it. Yog will still be kept because he is the God of destroying cliff bases. Personally I wish they made us all commit to a single religion, and disallowed having them all, but that is me

Even then, this is a multiplayer game. Each tribe should have followers of each religion or at least be willing to trade.

Good point, I am mistaken then :)
