Recreate Character

I made a mistake and forgot to hose a god....Now I'm level 19 (on a standard EXP/Harvest server) and want to click recreate, however, will I need to run back to my base? I'm all the way North up at the plains...it's a difficult run with bases shooting at you, spiders and hyenas crippling you (sometimes both, making you 100% immobile) at level 1, naked, and having to run around walls that were put up by other tribes to block off access to the iron/coal up north (which means I've got to go MUCH further out of my way than I'd like...much to close to the spider caves..).

Sure, I can make the run, it may take some time, but I'd prefer not to. IF I recreate, will I respawn on my bed?

there are 3 npcs in the game that will teach you each religion... just saying

No, you do not. Recreate deletes the old character entriely.

Don't recreate! You'll wipe out all of your items and progress and will be starting over. Just find one of the three npc's who will teach you a religion at no cost. You can swap freely between them at any time this way.

I'm alright with losing my items. I want to reset my skills AND religion. The server is rather populated, so finding the other NPCs that teach religion will be difficult.

Also, my structures won't disappear...will they? I'm part of a tribe and it would suck if I lost my structures, but mostly, it would suck if my tribe-mates lost my structures (the crafting stations mostly).

I would assume if you aren't the clan leader you should be okay

It should be known that once I realized I didn't pick a religion, I dumped ALL of my points into the less useful recipes, and spent all of my time gathering and mulling materials back. I've also made 300 of each item that I have the recipes for. The pillars, the sloped roof, and the slanted walls/roofs (the cosmetic stuff).

At this point, a respec, a recipe re-allocation, and a fresh start would be beneficial to me.

use the yellow flower potions and you can respec your recipes, and the NPC will allow you to pick a religion, recreating your person is worthless. The only thing you cannot change is your stat points i believe.

Guys and gals, I REALLY appreciate the warnings...lol.

I've intentionally wasted my stat points AND recipe points for the sole purpose now of being able to reset them. I'm no where near being able to make yellow potions...I am not strong enough to travel the map to find the Mitra priest, and I honestly don't care to lose my levels.

I really only want to know two things:

1. WHEN I recreate, will my structures be destroyed?

2. WHEN I recreate, will I respawn at my existing bed?

Yes, but my bed and structures belong to my tribe/clan, so they'll still be there and I'll still have 100% full access to them. So it's not like I lose anything in that department. I'm only level 19, and I've got 12 points in carry weight..the other points are in grit. I DO NOT want those stats, so it's a win to get a stat respec. Lastly, I DO NOT want the cosmetic recipes I have taken...and I'm nowhere near making a yellow potion, so again, I'm winning by getting a respec there too.

What am I missing? Why is everyone telling me to not respec? What else will I lose?

I recreated my character and made a new name for my new character. When I login (February 18th 2017) all my structures were still at place in the server, in-game. But they were locked belonging to the name my character had before I did the recreation. Who owns them now? They are taking a lot of place and land from other gamers in the server. This means you will not spawn in your bed, I guess. The bed belongs to the other character before the recreation. Maybe it helps if you give the same name to your new character or recreation.

This does not help. When u play solo, try to create a clan and leave it, even though ur the only person in and clan is gone ur buildings dont belong to u anymore. They still they "owner: ur name", but u cant access doors and so on anymore... Happened to me, learned it the hard way.
Game creates some kind of ID# for you, so even tho u choose same name ID will be different.
