There are many different varieties of spider... I have found the bright blue ones and the Green and black ones by the spider cave to be far tougher than the browns tarantulas and black widow looking ones.

Poison from a brown barely ticks down my hp and I rarely get more than a stack of 4 and from the greens its like 10x more virulent and in no time I had a stack of 18 on me.

So my question is which spiders are you talking about?

regardless of a buff the spiders would have killed you before especially 8 of them , the hit crits you in place ,good luck with 3 to 4 nevermind 8

If a spider was as big as it is in this game, but in real life. You not only wouldn't be able to catch them, but the silk they would spin would plant your ass to the ground faster than you could scream. Spiders in this are fine. Bring a shield, block, bring antidotes, cure. etc.
