Reducing material requirments...
Seriously funcom. Go home, you're drunk.

If there is a server slider for reducing material requirments i've yet to find it. I've also yet to find anything this game offers that other older games don't do better. If there is something fun here, I don't want to refund it, but i'm NOT spending any more time on this till I know.

So ya. 2000 stone and 400 iron to build the TOOLBENCH set I need to build a metal tool.

No way. Not falling for it. That is so crazy the only explination I can come up with is that they wanted to drag the early game out to the point where people have too many hours to refund.

There is a server setting for getting more ressources when you are farming.
HarvestAmountMultiplier=2.00000 (then you get twice as much as on a vanilla server ...)

I'm counting the stone you use to make and repair the tools used in gathering the items, the resources required to reach the level needed to unlock the recipie, and the stone to repair the axe to gather the wood to smelt the bars.

All in all, it's a whole lot of hours to put into a game that hasn't even shown me what it's going to do that ARK doesnt.

Not much i guess. I tried to like it myself, but even after several hours, it just gets boring after a little while.

Upgraded tools net more resources. It scales fine. I just rebuilt every crafting station now that my base is done. Took maybe an hour for every station from stratch.

i think arrows r a bit expensive i mean 50 stone for only 10 arrows?
i wouldnt mind if it was 50 stone for 20 arrows or 30 arrows but only 10?

totally agree, costs are too steap, ESPECIALLY repair costs, 75% of the materials needed ot make it in order to repair it? steep. The crafting cost slider needs to come back, and needs to work. More options for the players to ge more enjoyment from the game.

I think it is fine. Too low means too easy and unrewarding. Much like the life of the average millenial.

If it makes you feel better, the millenials will be saying the same thing about the next generation as automation and individual productivity continue to increase.

Just as the cave man would no doubt say about the average post agracultural revolution villager.

That's one of the great quagmires in human nature. We commit every waking momment of our lives to finding a way to do things faster, better, and for less. Then when we succeed in making things easier for the next generation, we complain about how they don't have our "charecter" because they have it too easy.

Human progress is the tale of a man that want's everything for nothing, and strives to make that lazy dream a reallity, all the while holding to a principle of "work ethic" that runs counter to his applied philosophy.
