Unable to connect, outdated client version...please help.

2 tribe members of mine are unable to join server. I am able too. They have already tried joining via steam favorites, via friend invite and via game client. Getting error OUTDATED CLIENT. Both have updated to latest patch. - Any one else? Fixes? Thanks -

see if they can join another serveur then if yes its the serveur if not need to run chek file on steam

the server needs to update i think. that or they need to update their game. idk

same problem. Server is validated as running current edition. I am validated as running current edition. 27 other players just updated and are logged in with no issues. Yay me!

we just got big patch so client and server need to be updated if no active admin scheduled restart should suffice.

Hey there! What version of the client are they running currently? You may check this by looking at the bottom-right of the main menu.

I am having the same problem. Restarted Steam, restarted my computer. My version is 23950/10026

I'm having the same issue.

Game crashed, i restarted the game. it applied a patch without asking me (i love steam but i HATE that there is no option for manual update) and of course i couldn'T connect to the game because the server is still using the "old" patch.

Same. Updated both client and server and it said when logging in there is a mismatch, which there isn't because both versions are up to date. Sigh.

What i did:
1) Join through Steam friend. Get the usual warning about version missmatch.
2) Tab out of game when the game was in the game menu
3) Join the same friend through Steam again while game was still running.
4) Wait, don't click anything
5) Wait some more
6) After half a decade, your pc should calm down from loading heaven and earth. You should now be able to get into the game again.

No being sarcast, honest... but do you have any suggestions for those playing on servers that still don't show up on the in-game server browser?
