How exaclty do you host a public server

and i dont know if people can join singleplayer/co-op
anyone know help would be appriciated

ppl can join co-op but you guys will be limited to 100 meters of distance from each other.

First off, determine why you want to host a server. There are currently 9 gazillion servers running this game, and thats even without the official ones being up. If all you want to do is play with your friends, join one and see if it is a fit for you. Maintaining a server is a hassle, and there are a ton of underpopulated ones already out there.

this guy sounds butt hurt that no1 is playing on his server. Don't listen to this tool. If you want your own server, go get one. Any reason is good enough.

Just trying to save someone some money/hassle. Policing a public server from hackers/cheats, griefers/asshats is a round the clock hassle you dont have to worry about if you are just a player. Was just saying theres no reason to host one to play with your firends, if thats the extent of your ambition.

If I was butthurt about my own server, i would have plugged it here. Franky we're happy to keep the population under the radar until the game can address some serious balance issues.

Hmmm...maybe I could have chosen to use a term other than "plugged" in close association with "butthurt"...

Lots of us can run it on a spare PC around the house. Not too difficult, and it runs on pretty old equipment ok, if just hosting for 5-10 friends.

If you really want to host a server like us ;)^^.....best you can do rent a dedicated server. We have dedicated server for how many years and we can host a lot of servers for many games at the same time. Dont rent a gameserver only they are too expensive and the most time not good.... But when you rent a dedicated server you have to learn how to install it write bat files update server and how to make scripts ;)

If you want to host your own server and have a spare PC to do this then just follow this guide

You download the game server files to the PC and run it, just make sure you open on the correct ports on your router. Also be aware of your own internet connection upload speed, don't put to many open player slots up if you're line isn't that good.
