Can this run on a mac?

I was wondering if this game can run on a mac os? My other PC is done at the moment and my kid really wants to play, the only issue is it would be on the mac.

Boot Camp > Install Windows > Dual Boot is the only option at the moment. I don't think we'll see an OSX/Linux port anytime soon. Not until after the game leaves Early Access, if at all. Current announcement for release is PC on Steam now, then on XBOX One preview in Spring 2017 and a PS4 release planned but with no date set. It will likely be years before this game would be ported to OSX.

Plus, I would double check the CPU/RAM/GPU even meet the recommended specs as Macs tend to have budget/low-end components compared to the average gaming PC. This game is EA and unoptimized so it needs a better PC than it should just to run stable. Just barely meeting the minimum requirements will not be a fun experience for whoever is playing.
