You can also always tell people who have no idea what they are talking about. BTW I am former military and spent a good bit of time overseas in the desert where there is no city within the horizon. Still wasn't this dark on nights with a moon. Especially a full moon like the game shows much of the time. Now on new moon or overcast nights yeah....pitch balck but that is not normaly what the game shows.

No its dark enough. If you had any real life experience of navigating in the dark you would have no problem at all in game. Just look at the sky and use the shadows to navigate after instead of looking down at your feet.

Bonfires.

Given that night has a full moon always... The amount of darkness is a joke. I can see upto a half mile at night with a full moon in a field in real life.

Plus the lighting engine is terrible I have about 20 wall torches... Yet I can't see anything 4 feet from them. The light should be 15 foot radius.

I was 13th MEU so dont throw around your military experience like it makes you an some expert in a fantasy world that has a different reality than our own. On my screen it not pitch black so maybe you need to adjust your gamma.

I have a second home in one of the darkest areas according to a light pollution map and even on moonless nights the starlight is enough to see fairly well once you adjust to it. On a half to full moon night it's actually so light I need to close the blinds to sleep.
Having said that, I like the nighttime luminosity in the game.

I dont mind the dark nights, adds a danger to the game traveling in the dark... Isn't that what survival is all about ?
ﮱﮔutex Feb 14, 2017 @ 3:25am
Yes its dark very dark , WHICH IS COOL...Nights are very short.

I do hope Dev's never put a gamma slider in LOL .. as then NIGHTS won't exist at all

Huh I never minded the dark nights. Plus I thought they were neat as it's possible to nighttime ninja things when they can't see you coming unless they're willing to setup bonfires and take watch at night.

Poor snowflakes don't like the dark..........

Poor guy let me guess you turn brightness to max at night, and the gamma lol. Some of us don't toggle settings every night cycle lol. For one I play games that ban doing that wiht out doing it on the monitor itself.

Anyways it should dark, even been to some where far far away from cities with modern lighting? its freaking pitch dark. There is not city with elctrict lights near by to bounce light off the atmosphere so it would be pitch dark, unless its a full moon...
