Is there any way to destroy an item? I've mostly been dropping all the crap that I don't need.

I dont think so, i just drop it in the water XD
If you want to destroy something like a wall, hold E :D

Simply drag it to the shaded part of the inventory to destroy. Pretty sure that's a bug
