Where can I get ironstone?

This is probably a stupid question but how do I get ironstone

I've been roaming around the whole south end of the map and been hit everything I see and I still havent found a way to get ironstone.

There's no info on the wiki site yet.
somehow I got like 5 or so of those ironstone ores, but I don't know how I got those.

I'm litteraly stuck now since I cant craft all the new tier armors that I need to go more land inwards.

If anyone could please tell me how to aquire those, I would very much appreciate it.

You randomly get them when mining stone, and u get more when using iron pickaxe on stone.

Look for small dark nodes while going further north.

I will try to look for the dark nodes although I think I have come across them a while ago, they looked dark grey like the collapsed bridge but I couldnt harvest those for some reason.

I have harvested over 1000 stones now and I still havent gotten a single ironstone, maybe my game is bugged, idk.

I have been testing around in the server settings as well, like increasing the amount you get from harvesting, maybe that caused the bug.

No, no, it's probably the lore building parts you're talking about. Those ironstone nodes look like regular stone nodes (slightly smaller, and probably more round), just dark gray. You can probably find some in the kind of a canyon valley in the middle where a lot of blue spiders spawns. It's a pretty rich spot.

Incorrect. yes you can get it from stone no having a iron pickaxe wont give you more from stone.. somewhere in the middle of the map you will find it. they are smaller silver rocks. They are in more hostile areas for sure. Black rocks are charcole

I have looked into crafting the iron pickaxe.

This made me laugh, so if i recall correctly:

1.You need to gether ironstone to craft the blacksmith.
2.You need the blacksmith in order to craft the iron pickaxe.
3.You need an iron pickaxe in order to craft get the ironstone.

if your trying to farm ironstone hitting stone rocks your ♥♥♥♥♥♥.. Go to the middle of the map to fine the ironstone spawns, 1 trip got enough to craft a sword, hatchet and pick

you do NOT need a iron pick axe to get ironstone.. you go up into the hills and gather it with a stone pickaxe

so that means I have to venture into dangerous territory to be able to craft the gear thats actually needed to go there in the first place.

I have gotten as far as the hyenas and they tear me to shreads and i'm lvl 30 with 2nd armor.

But ok I'l give it a go.

Otherwise, everybody on the server would skyrocket to the top tier and it would be a boring butchery of those who still haven't. It should be difficult. And the game enforces collaboration in PvE particularly.

I found them north of the river. Primarily in the mountain areas. Look for silver rock like nodes. The black ones are coal. Silver for the ironstone.

its very hard to solo. but gives great plesure doing it :))
