You can't have both online at the same time though :)

I want them because there is a level cap and therefore a limitation in total knowledge points. Those knowledge points you can earn on a single character only unlock a small part of the total range of constructible items. I want to be able to build everything in my personal single player world, for maximum variety. For starters, I would like to play one character as a dedicated base builder and one as an armorer/weaponsmith who can produce all the gear. As both are regular tasks, the character reset potion is not a practical option.
