Black screen when joining a server

Hello...

Just try serveral times to join a server. Everything seems good until i join... i just have a black screen with the music running normaly and then nothing else is happening. That could during a while... Dont know what to do... I have a good nvidia graphic card and a good processor and ram... I wish to have some info about this... anyone?

Pretty much me since I was in for about 20 minutes and then got server crash error. Since then its just join a server, get black screen with music and have to force close the game to try again.

If you're getting a black screen issue, can you please test to see if the issue occurs when fullscreen and in windowed mode? Additionally, can you also try to send me client log files from (...\Steam\steamapps\common\Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Saved\Logs) and DM them to me on Twitter (@andybenditt) through Dropbox or a similar filesharing service? Thanks!

Hi Andy, i have just tried all three screen types and so have two of my server members and none of them can log in. unfortuntly i dont have twitter so cant email them to you

I know why.. that is dedicate server problem. some reason dedicated server can't load their data after update. and then people see black screen when they try to join

I found a fix to the black screen issue that worked for me, uninstall BattleEye.

This also means that you cannot play on BattleEye servers, and you need to select the "Play Conan Exiles without BattleEye [unofficial servers only]" option before you start playing, but that resolved my black screen on server join issue.

Also FWIW, I was experiencing the black screen on private servers, official servers (while they lasted), and my own personal server. Removing BattleEye was my solution. I also run the game at 1440p in Windowed Fullscreen mode with max settings. Hope that helps.

What worked for me:
I had this same issue - Tried disabling BattleEye, Windowed Gaming, and joining via steam Server List. What ended up fixing it for me was removing my IP information from the .bat file.

My .bat file:
start ConanSandboxServer.exe -log -Port=MYPORT -QueryPort=MYQPORT

That's it. I'll re-enable BattleEye and I hope everything will work since none of the previously mentioned items fixed anything.
