What's the point in that? If the mod was released early it'd still have bugs and issues that people would complain about.

So you want them to release a mod that currently has bugs and have people complain? Mods take time.

I agree with Frozen. It'll become a very open beta game when released. The devs would need time before they would release this game. Have some patience.

There are times I've gotten impatient every time P2CE's release date gets changed. I thought of it having so many tools in it"s level editor.

The game is in version 9.0.0 now, so release should be soon. There are still over 700 issues open on github tho, and many major features are still in development. As a prediction, open beta will likely release sometime this year or next year, but that's just speculation.

Also as a beta tester, I can say that this game is looking great. DX11 p2 looks great, hammer is much more reliable, and PBR is amazing. The campaign is almost flawless (save for a missing shader or two) and the panorama UI is looking great, so much more reliable and user friendly when compared to vgui.

This mod is gonna be the biggest thing to happen to p2

0.9.0 doesn't mean the next version will be 1.0 :P
We're basically going to keep incrementing the number until we're ready to publicly release on steam. As you noted, there's a lot of work to be done still, but the project is moving along nicely. Once we decide on a release date, there'll be a steam announcement and an update to the store page.

Also we appreciate the kind words!
