Matchmaking broken

Normally (Mann Up) matchmaking worked fine for me, but a few hours ago it started to be very slow, now it doesn't work anymore. After clicking "start search", it takes a few seconds until search really starts (normally it starts instantly). Until yesterday, there were two columns in the matchmaking search: "nearby" and "worldwide" (nearby would be Europe for me). Today only "worldwide" is visible. And finally it stopped working at all for me: The matchmaker is searching forever, but no numbers are shown in the matchmaking table, only "?" instead.

Also I never get informed whether disconnecting is ok or results in a penalty; the wiki says you always get informed about it. And is there any visible indicator for being in a penalty when searching for a match? That shouldn't be my problem though, I never quit before having played at least one wave.

All weekend the servers have been wonky. On Friday I sat in Expert Mannworks for 45 min alone, on wave 5, waiting for joiners. I checked with another account and it said the TF Game Coordinator was down. Been off and on all weekend. Trading, Loadout Server too, but not as bad. Im guessing it may have to do with the increased traffic with the Holiday Sale going on.

tried it out today, found this, since it was the only expert server it would let me join, one guy was afk for almost 11 hours at that point, no kick allowed, lol

That's the bad thing about Boot Camp servers. Most of them don't have the Vote-option and on some it even happens that the team is made of 9 people or something...

Matchmaking was always broken. I usually can play mvm like every 10th day. Most times I give up the waiting after 30 minutes. At least they saved me lots of money...

I've been waiting for 10 minutes as a single player to get into an attack/defense game. This matchmaking "beta" is GARBAGE.

Edit: HAHA and it just dumped me into an empty server...WHat the flying F, Valve?

It's weird. I have same problem. I had it 2 days ago, then yesterday it just had fixed itself and today it's the same ... Idk what the hell is going on here ...

Same thing here, last week was fine, problem started to appear around 2 days ago. Spent at least 10-15 minutes after clicked the start search button, and then got dump into a completely empty server, spent another 10 minutes waiting for players to join, but no one actually join.

Seeing the TF2 Itemserver being down most of the times and this, I could say TF2 is technically a dead game. Valve is focusing on Dota and CS:GO instead and abandoning TF.
