Pyro's Airblast In MvM
This is a discussion only have a couple of friendly people take their little airblast talk somewhere else. If you have any opinion on this, feel free to join in.

I think the Phlog and stock flamethrower are both useful in their own right. If you want to use one, the other, or both, I won't hold it against you.

Airblast is for bad teams/massive ♥♥♥♥ ups. Phlog is for good teams that want to do even better.

Phlog is good thats why it got nerfed Valve nerfs only nerfs good MVM Weapons.No i waste half of my Ammo for getting my Crits on a Tank damn Valve
In other Way i saw a Bunch of Pyro that didn't even used the Airblast in MVM due they do not know or don't wanna do it.

I said in the other thread...

In expert mode, I use stock.
I max damage and get crits on tank rounds.
You and you team should be able to get the tanks without the need for a solo effort by the pyro

in Advanced mk2, phlog is needed because the pyro can solo the tanks (long map helps)

Yes but in expert - even in a good team- airblast can be used a lot.

The expert maps have multiple reset opportunities.

They have a lot of medics coming in and even the best demo/sniper may miss some.
A good pyro can for example, keep a ubered Hoovy away from the dispenser.

Even with 100 tour players, i've found myself having to airblast super scouts into pits.

The short maps of expert make airblast brilliant.

Decoy and Mannworks in particular are scary on Expert. Airblast works wonders over there.

Coaltown and Bigrock? Lol screw them, really easy to defend anyway, just tear 'em a new one with Phlog.

I don't actually care about this stupid war between airblast vs phlog.

Both are good in their own right. I do prefer airblasting but I can agree that phlog can still be of some use in some situations.

Airblast on Decoy and Coaltown (resets are good hard reset points) and phlog on Mannworks...keeping the bomb in a bot hands makes demo medic elimination near impossable and the reset is so slight it isnt worth the effort.

Airblast is only really good on the first wave of decoy and coaltown and the second wave of mannworks. Decoy and coaltown because uber medics, and the team won't have that many upgrades, so it's easier to ♥♥♥♥ up on killing them before they pop. Mannworks because the charged soldiers (Not sure if it is worth it anymore after the bug). Phlog is best in every other wave.

Airblast is better on the harder difficulties. An good couple of airblasts on giant scouts or to make a reset can be a game saver. So long as your team is able to adjust and at those higher levels they should be able to.

After that recent major patch, the charged soldiers were bugged so that their rockets traveled at normal projectile speed. They also would load up to four rockets at a time which they would fire normally without having to reload in between. That second bug still hasn't been "fixed" yet, although it's possible they left it in on purpose.

I see. Has the first bug been fixed, at the very least?
