Reasons:
1. Can charge quickly at aiming at clusters of robots
2. Mini-crits for mercs in the surrounding area
3. Can be powerful against any robot in the game
4. Cheap to upgrade
Shortstop because I love tank shredding, and because of the very few instances where the shove has saved the wave. I can probably count them on one hand, but they did stick to me. Plus, it's on par with Soda Popper's damage, if a bit more hungry for ammo.
Widowmaker because no reload means you can keep shooting forever. Also, I love tank shredding again.
If we talk about objectively best, probably the Wrangler, Beggar's Bazooka and Scottish Resistance.
Tripling a Sentry's health with the Wrangler is insane, and the downside of deactivating your Sentry for 3 secs is solved by picking up your sentry and dropping it immediately, assuming that it matters in the first place.
Tap-firing with Beggar's is just OP.
ScoRes is just a faster firing Sticky Launcher. The downside of increased arm time is almost always negligible because robots move predictably.
Honorable mention to the Hitman's Heatmaker, but Explosive Headshot is OP in general, and that's an upgrade, not a weapon.
This too.
are you secretly a robo-spy trying to learn to counter all our tricks?
The Blutsauger
Without upgrades, it gives you health per hit, at the cost of slower health regen (as Medic already gains health back). A mere 200 credits is needed to remove the downside. Add on Mad Milk syringes for 200 more, and you can get a fountain of health, along with teammates getting a bit more health per hit.
The Frontier Justice
It's incredibly good for Engie, even if you're not that good at playing as him. On certain maps, in the right spot, you get massive amounts of kills. If your sentry gets destroyed, you get lots and lots of crits (+2 for kill, +1 for assist). All you need to focus on is staying alive, and not letting your sentry get destroyed too early. That's not even including upgrades or the Wrangler.
